Big Thankyou

I would like to say a big thankyou to DaveT2. & Suze for recommending to somebody about useing Mike Thomas (Cyclone Motorsport) for a welding job. I've just. used Mike to weld in my roll cage & fit in the cut off switch for me. He done a most excellent job. Thanks again.

Newcomers Award

I would like to thank the commitee for the Newcomer award that the Dumbills very kindly collected on my behalf. Sorry i wasn't there to receive it.

I was very touched to receive the award, William keeps reminding me this is the first thing you have ever one.

Welding

Hi

Advice/help...

We are fitting a bolt in roll cage to a rover 200 and need two plates to be welded into the floor to accept the legs/bolts of the cage.

(seems bolt in isnt always what it seems...)

We have access to a welding machine but our welding is not perfect (certainly in finished look)

Questions -
1 - would welding on something like this be scruitineered for an endurance rally? And fail?
2 - can anyone recomend a welder in Chelmsford area ? Car also in bits but could probably get it driveable to somewhere...

Help ! Preston Course Car Driver URGENT

I AM SUDENLY WITHOUT A DRIVER TO CARRY ME AROUND in my role as Chief Marshal FOR THE PRESTON RALLY ON 7TH DECEMBER.

A well prepared road rally car with knobblies is preferable but a quietish non signwritten stage car or other vehicles can be considered.

A would be competitor without a navigator would be fine. We can lose an entry to fulfil this important role. I will contribute towards petrol & rally insurance.

Boreham Race & Stapleford Abbots Hill Climb Programmes

Malcolm Mitchell has approach us with an enquiry:

The Programme Covers Project, a website dedicated to collecting cover
scans of race day programmes. Currently there are 7 listed under Boreham,
but I would like more! I'm not sure exactly how many more there are to
find, but perhaps you do, and know where to find them?
