Nurburgring

I am going on my annual pilgramage to the world superbikes at the above. We have a couple drop out at short notice and now we have a empty twin room. Going Thurs 29th Aug, returning Mon 2nd Sept. You can make your own way there and you dont have to watch the bike racing. Ok for couples as they are twin rooms. Any one interested

Skoda Preston Garage

minispaniard's picture

We'll soon be looking at replacing our Focus Mk1 'WannabeRC' for a more modern family orientated car with something extra. The Skoda Octavia Scout, similar to the 4x4 estate but with larger ground clearance seems to be what we're looking for... plus Samm and Jamie will be able to place me somewhere more challenging when marshaling on the Xpart!!

I thought on the Preston garage in Writtle, as he's a club member and still sponsoring the Preston rally.

We'd be looking at a used one with low mileage and with the 'extra' warranty and peace of mind that official dealers offer.

GO MOTORSPORT LIVE!

Suze's picture

Thanks to all the club members who came and supported the club and stand at Go Motorsport Live! at Silverstone on Sunday. It was a rather warm day and well supported with over 2500 visitors and over 400 free Autosolo rides for passengers - I managed a few trips round in a Subaru, Rover 214 and the Skoda Citigos they had lent the event which was good fun.

Thanks to those who entered the competition on the Chelmsford MC stand which was raising money for the East Anglian Air Ambulance. There were 384 sweets and cars in that big jar.

We are looing for volunteers who are not 'shovel shy' and are up for a little bit of hard graft.
a rearward for your efforts will be in the form of some god old Suffolk hospitality to enable you to maintain your energy levels.

If you are available and willing to help please PM me or reply to this forum topic.

National Motorsports Week Trophy - Debden & Wethersfield

Once again CMC and West Suffolk / Eastern Counties Motor Clubs have teamed up to award a special trophy for the best combined performance on the Debden Autotest / Autosolo and Javelin's Jumbo Targa at Wethersfield on 7th & 14th July.

The second event is not quite in National Motorsports Week, but the Motorsport UK are counting all events from mid-June to mid-July for their NMW awards, so we can too.

The award will be presented at the (free) CMC club night barbecue on 18th July.

CMC in Pacenotes Rally Magazine

Suze's picture

Chelmsford MC is the featured club in the June issue of Pacenotes magazine. The article includes history on the club, what the club does now and various other bits of information.

Thanks to Brian Jaggs for compiling CMC history for the club magazine a few years ago, which helped in writing the article, and Andy (M&H Photography) for the photos.

I am also the featured person in "clubman corner" where CMC gets another mention.
