Marshals Wanted - Middlewick Stages on Sunday 11th May, at MOD Woodbridge

I have received a request for marshals for above event (details below) - please contact Chris Deal direct if you can help please.

I'm recruiting for marshals for the forthcoming Middlewick Stages on Sunday 11th May, at MOD Woodbridge, Suffolk. Near Ipswich

We have planned 8 stages of around 7 - 8 miles each, with what we hope will be a fantastic entry.

I expect signing on will be between 7.45 and 8.15, with all people in position by 08.45 for first car at 09.00.

EA Classic Marshals

This year's East Anglian Classic is on Saturday June 21st and, as usual we will be desperate to find as many marshals and willing helpers as possible.
The number of time controls to cover is second only to the Preston and, with an extra test site this year we will be grateful for all the help you can give.
The area is similar to last year and runs most of the length of the Norfolk/Suffolk border, so it will be easy to get to from wherever you start. It will be run entirely in daylight so you might even get a tan.

Apparently there is a pic of me at the Shrewsbury BTRDA autotest last year as part of an article on Getting Started in Motorsport. If anyone already gets the magazine, I'd appreciate a copy of the article and / or is anyone aware of outlets selling it in Chelmsford?

BRSCC SE inter-club quiz

Sutnav's picture

Six hardy souls - Jim, Paul, Tony, Ellen, Mark and me - ventured south of the water to Brands tonight to uphold the CMC banner at the BRSCC quiz. And yes we were lucky that we had so many navigators for the table top round, and that Paul had heard of the New Christie Minstrels, and that I know my way round the Russian alphabet. But in fact we scored more than all the other teams on every round except for paper aeroplane construction, and so brought the cup back to Essex. It was a lot of fun and another reason to keep up our proud boast of being the best motor club in existence.

Mini owners invited to play at Brands Hatch

All mini owners, I have been approached by our contact at MSV requesting help as follows. The area is smooth, so any mini will be OK to use.

'We are hosting the Brands Hatch Mini Festival on Sunday 11 May, and we would like to have demonstrations of Mini rally cars. We are offering use of the Brands Hatch rally stage for Mini rally demonstrations to take place.'

If anyone can help, please contact Joe East on 01474 875318 or

Membership cards ?

Just wondering !

I posted my subs cheque for myself and my son (new member) before the Brands Hatch Stages, but so far nothing ! If my son sorted his car and wanted to enter a closed to club event the lack of a card could cause problems .

When are they being issued ?

URGENT CHIEF MARSHAL REQUIRED 30/03/14 WOODBRIDGE TARGA RALLY

jimbowie's picture

The team are coming together for the first Targa Rally of 2014 and I'm pleased to confirm John Conboy is going to be a first time Clerk of The Course and Tony Michael will provide his usual significant support with documentation, timekeeping and entries secretary. Other senior officials and their roles will be announced very soon, together with the opening of the entry list and marshal registration.

The event URGENTLY requires a Chief Marshal & also a Sponsor. A sponsor would be expected to pay around £350.
