Hi Everyone,
The regs went up today and we already have 3 entries but no event can start without marshals! So, if you are able to support us on the night then your help will be most welcome.
We already have scrutineers, code board 'putter-outers' and suchlike but we will need marshals for the controls. If you can help please indicate here or contact the chief marshal by mobile or email - contact details in the regs. Many thanks.
Happy New Year everybody.
Andy & Chris
The 106 is awaiting some repairs since the Preston so Lucy and I won't be able to defend last years win on the Jan Jaunt. The good news is that we can man/woman a couple of time controls if needed...
Awaiting instructions.
Luis
Thanks Luis, great! And first marshals to volunteer.
Instructions in due course.
Andy
The entry list is nicely full so if everyone runs looks like we will not make the 12. So we are very happy to take a control or two, course car, anything that helps.
Colin and Ellen.
Not wishing to deprive Andy of a Marshall, but I reckon you are still good for a run Colin.
14 entries with 2 expert crews entering after you.
If either of the 2 unpaid entries doesn't hurry up that is a guaranteed run!
Cheers
Colin

Sorry for delay but I have paid entry fee this morning
JC
Mine was paid on 4th Jan....seems to have disappeared into the ether!
Kevin
Now paid
Please note change to reserve crews on the seeded entry list.
Simon B,
Please contact me by txt or mobile re marshalling, my attempts to email you have been sent back.
Contact details in the regs. Thanks.
Andy
Please note revised start time for the event.
I am probably not looking hard enough, but I'm not seeing anything... :-(
Andymerchant sorry have been out this evening and only just seen your message and email will call you tomorrow in the afternoon hope that's ok. Simon.
... will start at 6.45pm approx in the car park to the rear of the village hall which is opposite the pub.
Signing-on will be available from then to 7.20pm.
Car 1 leaves the start at 7.50pm.
Hi Andy - I'm not sure whether Mark and I (Mike Banks) are 1st or 2nd reserve? The entry list on the website shows us as 2nd reserve and the xls seeded list you attached to the forum thread shows us as 1st and we have jumped above Kevin. I'm not sure what the position is and how it works. Can you clarify? Thanks.
Hi Mike,
You are 2nd reserve. The seeded entry was corrected, I believe because Kevin's entry was received before yours. I have asked in the finals for any crew not running to let me know asap so we can advise the reserve list. Please txt me your mobile no so I can contact you if crews drop out. Thanks.
cant find finals
Pat, look six post above yours... make sure you find my control on Friday!!
no im not getting it
tell me where it in and ill make sure we get to you
Hi Both,
We now have a full house of marshals, but many thanks for your offer. So no need to venture down here all the way from your Suffolk sticks!
Enjoyed marshalling on the 20/20, and lovely spread afterwards, thanks.
Andy
>tell me where it in and ill make sure we get to you
Stuart will make sure you do anyway!
Thanks Andy - I have texted you both mine and Mark's mobile numbers. Cheers.
Apparently some are not able to download the finals. Here they are again, but if for some reason it doesn't work then text me (mob no in the regs) with your email address and I will send. One mob no per crew please!
Also, note that Car 1 leaves at 7.50pm.

Hi Andy I couldn't see the attachment for the first lot of finals. I can see the latest attachment but when I open it (on both my computer and tablet) it's just goberdy gooke. Eddie could see the first lot and forested it on to me but had no quiet zones or black spots to plot is this correct?
Adrian
I too get a page of what looks like machine code when I download the Finals.
Permission adjusted so that known CMC members can see the private file attachment now - try that one.
Black Spots and QZ's will be in FINAL Finals issued at start.
Thank you Andy & Chris and marshals for last night - keeping us on our toes again but also ensuring some good weather for it too! Well done to Pat and Stuart. I honestly didn't think we'd be so high up with the amount of time lost from me having trouble with the herringbone (me not checking for any extra instructions until about the 10th try really didn't help!!), panicking at one point that we might have missed a tc and giving John some extra driving as we did a couple of extra roads!! Also nice to see a nice number of beginners out last night. And thanks also to John for taking me out as someone less expert than his usual calibre of navigator! :) See you in February!
thanks to both andy and chris for yet again a superb 12 car. just the right mix of lanes, mud and rain to make it interesting. thanks to all the marshalls for turning out on a cold january night. loving the awards by the way.
the winning car is for sale at a very reasonable price
Hope you all enjoyed it, and apologies to those experts for one or two difficult route cards!
We would like to thank the marshals of all ages for standing out in the cold last night. Thankfully it was't as cold as earlier in the week and the rain held off too. Great job done - thank you.
Thanks also to Ed and Rich for putting the boards out, a great help, and thanks also to Paul and Peter for scrutineering and course closing - much appreciated.
Thanks to the competitors as well, as we said at the finish it would be rather boring without you.
Results analysis should be up soon.
Chris and Andy
Hi All, sorry for the delay.
Thanks all for attending, Major thanks to Lucy and Stuart for coming along and helping out
Hope you all got someting out of the evening.
Moving forward, for the 12 car teams I was planning on putting on a table top rally, I had it in my mind to do something at next months club night ( saves people travelling )
There will also be plenty of people there to help out.
If interested let me know and I will arrange.
For you Targa guys, I will put something on the agenda for the next Committee meeting to see if we cant have a prep night before the first event of the year
John
Here are the results: http://chelmsfordmc.co.uk/cmc/12_Cars/1516/JanJaunt16_Results.pdf
Hi John,
If I am around I can help out with Targa car prep night, I have done similar sessions before.
Cheers Matt
Thanks Matt. I will talk to you soon to discuss
Johnc I would be up for attending both. Thanks. Simon.
Thanks all for another great event.
Also would anybody be able to send me some expert navigation, just so I know what to expect at the next event !!!
You may not want last Fridays Expert navigation, it may lead to excessive hair loss.... ;-)
I have scanned quite a few sets of expert navigation, plus have the ones from the past 4 I have organised. I have a gmail address for you, do you want me to email them over??
and before you ask, no you can not have next months ones.
Cheers
Colin
Thanks Colin that would be perfect, appreciate your help.... I think I may need it
Thank you, Colin, Andy, Marshals, Scrutineers, Competitors for a good evenings motor-sport.
I've had another go plotting the route and can't fathom....
Start to TC2. Turn left onto B1002 (easy). Then t L, ic, or (I can't workout how to go 7 miles with so few instructions)?
TC3 to TC4. T(SGW) B L L R T T T R B R T B (LWR) T R T(SGW) (SGW) L T L T L L T L (I don't get it)?
t L is St Leonards in GS6200 (Letters t and L touch the yellow road). ic is Jericho Priory in GS6001. or is Gorrel's Farm in 6303. I hope you weren't expecting to go through Ingatestone!
T=top grid line of grid square, B=bottom, L=left, R=right.
Andy
Thank you, easy when you know how.
